Pandemic: Reign of Cthulhu - The Final Three Investigators

So, in a rush to try to get back to painting Imperial Assault, I finished the final three Investigators for Pandemic: Reign of Cthulhu

The Occultist: Probably the simplest figure I have ever painted.
The Reporter: Some fun stuff on this one.

The Detective: Didn't come out how I planned, but I still think he looks good.

That's all 7 Investigators complete.

All that's left is the 26 Cultists. The Cultists are tiny minis, only about 1cm tall, with very little detail. I will probably paint them at some point when I am in the mood for a fast batch job.

Pandemic: Reign of Cthulhu - Shoggoths from the basement

So the latest Sorastro guides have introduced me to wet blending, a painting technique that teaches a wonderful way to quickly get a lot of colour variation. Sorastro did this on the Rancor and Jabba, however I have been painting Pandemic: Reign of Cthulhu, so I thought I would start on the Shoggoths.

I wanted to try three different colour variations. A green slime beast that felt like a cross between a squid and seaweed. A purple leather beast that was like a nightmare alien from a horror movie. And a flesh toned creature that was like it was make from human skin, but badly and oozing blood from every pore.

Here is what they look like painted.

I think they came out pretty well. Again this was a quick photo with poor lighting that doesn't show them really well, but you get the idea.

They definitely look more horrible than the pale aqua of the base game.

And they were really quick to paint. I like this technique a lot.
